The Giant Radio Array for Neutrino Astronomy is an international proposal to deploy by 2035 a radio telescope composed of 200'000 antennas working in the 50-200MHz frequency range and covering a total area of 200'000km². I will explain how such a gigantic area would guarantee the detection of ultra-high energy neutrinos (E>10^17eV) of cosmic origin, thus providing a unique tool to study violent  phenomena in the Universe, at the time when multi-messenger astronomy becomes a reality. I will also show how GRAND can contribute to the study of the EPoch of Reionization and teh study of Fast Radio Bursts. I will finaly detail the timeline of the project, focusing in particular on the next stage of the project: an array of 300 antennas that should provide a proof of concept of the GRAND detection technique and could very well be deployed in Yunnan.
