In recent years, multiple populations (MPs) have been revealed in a large number of Galactic globular clusters (GCs). But until now, we still lack a comprehensive model that can explain all the observational evidence related this phenomenon. Observations of MP phenomenon at extreme conditions shed light on existing models and foster new ones. In this talk, I will show our efforts in observing MPs at the metal-rich end (NGC 6553, Tang et al. 2017a and the CAPOS project), at the metal-poor end (NGC 5053, Tang et al. 2017b), and at the low-mass end.
